The Qiwa platform will instantly issue the online work visa without requiring any documentation

A new temporary work visa service has been introduced by Saudi Arabia that allows businesses to issue visas for a period of 3-months from the entry date, with the option to renew for an additional three months.

To be eligible to apply for a temporary work visa online, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • The enterprise should be active
  • A valid commercial registration is required, except for activities that do not require commercial registration.
  • The enterprise’s Nitaqat status must be at least medium green level.
  • None of the enterprises under the same unified number should have an expired work permit.
  • The enterprise must have sufficient credit in the national unified number on Absher.

The online work visa will be issued instantly through the Qiwa platform once the request is submitted, without the need for any documents.

The website also stated that the enterprise should be active and possess a valid commercial registration, unless the activity does not require commercial registration.

Furthermore, it is required that the enterprise’s Nitaqat status be at a medium green level, and none of the enterprises under the same unified number should have any expired work permit. Also, there must be enough credit in the national unified number of the enterprise on Absher.

The visa application may be declined for the following reasons:

  • Inadequate credit balance in the enterprise’s national unified number on Absher.
  • The Ministry of Interior rejects the application.

If the service terms and conditions allow, your enterprise may receive a refund of the government fees for the visas that have been cancelled.
